Homework Completed

So we finished our first homework assignment tonight. Brinnley had the best time picking out what her little doll would wear, tracing her hands, and cutting up the yarn for hair. So what do you think does her dolly look like her?

Brinn's First Day of Pre School

I can't believe how big my little girl is getting. Today was her first day of Pre School. She was so excited to go. She woke up this morning before the rest of us, came in to our room and woke us up saying "I'm all ready for Pre School!" Mason and I both laughed of course because we thought it was the cutest thing ever. She on the other hand thought we were mocking her, and she decided that it wasn't for her no more. Feeling like the bad mom I tried to get her back into being excited. No such luck! I dropped her off at school hoping and praying that she would change her mind. The result was a success!

Brinnley with her teacher Mrs. Butler.

On our way home she could stop taking about how much fun she had, and that she couldn't wait to go back tomorrow. She was very disappointed when I informed her that she wouldn't be going back again until Thursday. When we got home she was so excited to show us her School Bag with her very own name embroidered on it with all the fun things they did for the day. She had made the letter "B" out of Fruit Loops for her name, and a Coconut Tree with the letters in her name from reading the Chicka Chicka, Boom Boom Book at school. She said her favorite part though was going on a Bear Hunt!

As not to break away from the true First Day of School, she was given homework. What a lucky girl! She has to decorate a paper doll to look like her. She of course wanted to do it right then, and with Fruit Loops. I told her we should put on our "Thinking Caps" on and come up with something else since she had already done that at school. I let you know what we come up with.

I am so excited for her to start on her own new little adventure. It is going to be so much fun this year to watch her change and grow!

My Top 10 New Year's Resolutions!

10. To be a better blogger, and actually journal things when they happen.
9. Iron the laundry as it comes out of the dryer, and not let it pile up to the point I where spend weeks just trying to catch-up.
8. Keep a clean car inside and out.
7. Catch-up on Scrap Booking.
6. Go clothes shopping once a month for just me.
5. Teach my kids how to do things, and not to just do it myself because it is easier.
4. Use all the vegetables I buy at the grocery store before they go bad.
3. Have a planned date with Mason at least once a month.
2. Spend more quality one on one time with Brayden and Brinnley.

And the number one New Year's Resolution is:

1. To have a 30" waist by the time I am 30! To be Thirty, Flirty, and Thriving!
(Ha Ha!! I know, yeah right! But everyone has to have one of those!)

Brinnley's "3"

Brinnley had her Birthday a couple of weeks ago, and we though it would be a great idea to take her to see Disney Princesses on Ice. She had a great time, but didn't really know who any of the Princesses were. I've probably failed her as her mom by not showing her any of those movies, but if it were Nickelodeon Characters she would have known them all. Her favorites were Minnie and Mickey of course! As well as Nemo, Buzz and Woody.

Brayden on the other hand was way disappointed when he found out that the Zamboni that came out at the first of the show was not Optimus Prime. Although I have to give the kid credit because it looked an awful lot like the famous Transformer. The poor kid was suckered into the show by not being able to read. I guess he will just have to wait for his birthday for it to be all boy!

After the show was over the kids enjoyed watching the water show at The Gateway. Brinnley like just watching from a far, but Brayden of course had to get in on the action. Lucky for him he only got his jacket wet. Otherwise he would have been a Frozen Popsicle!
We then headed on to Walmart to let her pick out her own cake. Of course it had to be pink! It was the most delicious cake ever! Tasted just like Strawberry Short Cake. Pretty good for being November. She was also able to get her favorite Chinese Food for dinner.

All she wanted for her Birthday was a Singing Stuffed Animal. When she opened the gift we realized that the head was not sewn on all the way. Mason felt bad and bought her 2 the next day. Yeah, for me! She had a great Birthday and also got new dresses, shoes, and a Little People Motorcycle.

Some of Things that make Brinnley:
  • Loves pink!
  • Best Friend is Brayden!
  • Favorite toy is a stuff animal! (prefers a dog)
  • Loves to pretend she is a dog.
  • Favorite foods: Mac n' Cheese, Chicken Nuggets, Toastie
  • Ask's everyday to go to McDonalds
  • Loves Tumbling
  • Favorite saying when mad: "Then I'm not your best friend anymore!"
  • Has the best Facial Expressions!
  • Loves to be held. Will make up an excuse why she needs to be held. Back ache, leg ache.
  • If she could she would watch T.V. all day.
  • Loves "Wow Wow Wubzy", "Calliou", "Max & Ruby"
  • A drinker! Drinks water all day long.
  • 31 lbs. - 60%
  • 37.2" tall - 50% (Say What?!?!, I had her measured twice, to be accurate of course. Even checked at home to be sure. Average...crazy!)

Private!

After much thought I have decided to go private! It just freaked me out that people were looking at my site that I had no idea who they were, or what their intentions were. I had a site meter tracking hits, and I had all these crazy places that I just didn't know who they were. I could tell from this site where they were coming from. Some people where googling my name or even my site. I'm sure they were probably looking for a store or something, but when they spend 45 or more minutes.... Crazyville I tell you! So if you had family or friends that liked looking at my site let me know and I will invite them. Maybe...

Plus now I don't have to worry about what I post. Worrying if I am giving out too much info or not.

Santa Knows....

"He sees you when your sleeping... He knows when your awake... He knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness sake!"

Oh, you better watch out. You better not cry. You better not pout I'm telling you why.....

Can I just say I love Christmas time, and the effect Santa has on kids! I can remember when Mason and I were first married, and we would be out at the store and I thought that it was so horrible that parents would use Santa over their kids head to keep them in line. I vowed that I would never do that, and luckily for me I have been able to keep my promise since Brayden knows that Santa is watching....

We've been watching a lot of Christmas shows lately that show you how Santa checks in on you like "Fred Claus" has a big globe, and "The Polar Express" has televisions to see what is going on. Well the other day Brayden asked me where the camera was hidden in his room. I of course told him that Santa was magical and didn't need a camera. He's got Santa and Elf Technology that's beyond us figuring out. He was content with this answer. So ever since then as soon as he realizes that he has done something naughty he tries to be ever so cool about trying to make sure that Santa catches him on his camera. He'll look all around the room as if he is trying to get noticed, and says "I'm sorry, Santa!" It's seriously the funniest thing ever!! I have the hardest time ever just not bursting out into laughter.

Every time that Brinnley is naughty Brayden makes her fully aware of this. He tells her "You're being naughty... Santa is watching" over and over like a broken record until Brinnley shouts "I know!" I really think he is trying to help her, and wants to let her know of his plan of "being caught saying sorry."

I really hope I can be camera ready the next time he does this. Also I really think the next 2 weeks will be a breeze, and that they will just discipline themselves!

"He's making a list, and checking it twice, gonna find out whose naughty or nice...."

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!
